Proclamation of King Charles III

Parish Council Chairman Neil Johnson announced the Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III in a special ceremony at Culcheth Millennium Garden on Monday 12th September. Cllr Johnson visited local primary schools in Culcheth to make the proclamation to the school communities.

Christmas Market Event.

This year’s Christmas market event is to return with a new format. The event on November 26th between 9am and 5pm will feature a ‘Makers Market’. The stalls are for local businesses and can be booked by contacting Vicky@themakersmarket.co.uk . The annual switch on of the Christmas lights will also take place at the end of the event.

Ukrainian Family Hub.

The Parish Council has given support to the team of people organising the Ukrainian family hub at Culcheth Sports Club.  Several members of the Parish Council were present along with Charlotte Nichols MP, at the recent event celebrating Ukrainian National Day.

Planning Concerns

The Parish Council is consulted on planning applications. If you have an opinion on an application, please let the clerk or councillors know as soon as possible within the 21-day consultation period.

Defibrillators

The Parish Council has funded the purchase and organised the installation of a defibrillator at the ESSO petrol station on Warrington Road in Culcheth. It is planned that another defibrillator funded by the Parish Council, will be installed in Glazebury in the next few months.

Millenium Garden Refurbishment.

The Parish Council undertook the renovation of the Millenium Garden in Culcheth.  The area was cleaned, resurfaced, refurbished and painted to bring it back to the high-quality public space Culcheth residents expect. The clock on the sundial has been recently replaced to ensure that it provides accurate information to passers-by.
